WHERE DO YOU COME FROM?

This question is at least always strange to answer, I was born in a small town in Murcia, then I moved from Aguadulce to El Ejido, a place in Almeria where I felt lost and misunderstood. After that, I escaped and moved to Madrid.

WHERE IS HOME NOW? WHERE HAS HOME BEEN?

I am a citizen of the world, I could say that I am based I'm Madrid but honestly, I travel a lot and have had many experiences in different places.

I don´t know, when I moved to Madrid I began to live by the moment, I have a home in this amazing city, but consider myself as living in many places.

WHAT ARE YOU CURRENTLY WORKING ON?

Since I returned from Morocco I have been involved in very interesting projects that I feel very fortunate to be part of.
Now the photos of Camper have just come out with Filip Custic, I am also preparing some very personal performances.
I want to return to Morocco because I am thinking about possibly getting residency there, to experience a little more of my roots and therefore create art that comes from the land, my heart, and the connection that I find there.

WHAT DOES ART DO FOR YOU?

It is a channel of energy, through art I can express myself and represent the body, the soul, and the spirit, as well as silence my mind and its worst demons. Thanks to art I have healed a lot and found a sincere way to reach the public, and convey messages that help me.
It's incredible to have found a discipline in which I can communicate dancing, recording videos, or photographs (selfies or not).
It is a method of healing that transports me to the power of now and keeps me alive!

WHAT DOES YOUR DAILY ROUTINE LOOK LIKE? DO YOU HAVE ANY HABITS?

The truth is that I do not have a job that forces me to get up every morning, take the subway and sit in an office for eight hours ... I feel very lucky, every day is a new adventure and a greater learning than the previous one. I get up every day at 8 am, meditate, go out to the countryside close to my house, I run, sometimes ill run barefoot and step down hard to connect with the earth.
Then I home and I get my homework, or if I have shooting or photos to take I prepare for the workday.
I have these habits because they are important guidelines that constantly and daily express my character and generate effectiveness.
Yes, I work a lot on these to be constructive, because being a very emotional person lack of routine can sometimes become a dangerous weapon that leads me to the opposite.

For that reason, as well, I do not drink alcohol or take narcotics, instead I meditate and play sports, and above all, I love, I love myself and those around me.

WHAT HAS LOVE MADE YOU CAPABLE DOING?

I have been with my boyfriend from a very young age, 10 years, until yesterday when I decided to break my habits and the madness that I do for love ... an example? Stop loving myself in search of acceptance, and love of who you want to love you ... Do you know the song  <Is it a crime> Sade?
You uploaded it the other day and hearing it again with that letter defined so much of the way I have seen love in the last 4 years. I decided to break up with my partner to start being with myself, what greater madness is it than to have abandoned oneself ?! Amor, Amor…

HOW DO YOU THINK SOCIAL MEDIA IS CHANGING THE ART WORLD? DO YOU THINK IS A USEFUL TOOL FOR ARTISTS?

I discovered art in my life by chance, I was educated in an environment in which the word art didn't exist and my studies are focused on social sciences. I started uploading things on Instagram because it was an ideal platform for me to express how I sincerely felt, and be able to be myself while keeping it hidden from my Muslim family.

I did a performance in which I was locked in a gallery for 30 hours, through google live and Instagram I reproduced what happened through a Big Brother style of documentation.

I took everything into the gallery, my house, and my friends, to make collaborations that were broadcast live. That was the first time the press tagged me as an artist instead of a model.
I am working on this project again to do it on a larger scale and with a minimum stay of 1 month.

I feel fortunate to be born in an era that allows us to express ourselves in a free way, as we do through social networks. There is still a lot of work to be done because censorship exists and is very latent (I get banned on average 2 photos day), but I believe in love and that at some point Instagram will understand what is really reprehensible.

I think we will all be really happy when we stop censoring love and meaningful messages instead of the content that, right now, they consider inappropriate.

DEFINE WHAT HAPPINESS IS FOR YOU.

Happiness is being in a state of constant presence, of not living in psychological time, but of being in the here and now all the time and enjoying what life gives you. Whether it is pleasurable or not, you have to learn to be in any moment.  time is unique, why not enjoy it?
