WHERE WERE YOU BORN?

I was born in a little town close to Barcelona, it's called Argentona and it's in between the mountains and the sea.

WHAT ARE YOU CURRENTLY WORKING ON?

I am preparing my portfolio and also working on a new book called
"CHICO FLORES"
where I'll photograph 33 men and 33 flowers.

It talks about the need of men in feminism and how we should eliminate steriotypes and create another image of men, more human, simple and real.

WHAT DOES YOUR DAILY RUTINE LOOK LIKE?  DO YOU PRACTICE SELF CARE?

I work in a really cool shop in Barcelona called CHANDAL, we sell Polaroids, film, publications and loads of different stuff. After 4 hours I walk around and meet someone, take photographs. I like walking around la Ciutadella, a beautiful huge green garden close to my work or even go to the sea and enjoy the golden light.

Once a week I try to spend time with myself, practicing meditation or just having a bath or a long shower as a gift for myself. What really helps myself to clean my mind is being alone and giving me some treats.

WHAT FEMALE ARTISTS DO YOU ADMIRE?

I admire my friend Marina De Luis (@marinadeluis) a lot as a photographer and as a person, she's a fighter and she is such an inspirational woman.

I also love Coco Capitán (@cococapitan) as a photograher, she's unique and her images are honest and incredible.

My beloved Patti Smith isn't on Instagram but she's still now one of my biggest inspirational women. Everything she does is gold.

-HOW DO YOU THINK SOCIAL MEDIA IS CHANGING THE ART WORLD? DO YOU THINK ITS BECOME A USEFUL TOOL FOR ARTISTS?

Social Media, specially Instagram gives me anxiety.

There's this constant comunication, this every-day images, all the time.

Sometimes it can be a bit too much, too fast, too cheap, too insignificant.

I love the healthy part of art and social media, I think the best of it is the amount of possibilities you can have, to get to people, to share your art, to create projects with people that are far away from you, to fall in love.

I think it's useful if you know how to use it healthly and to find other tools apart from it to show your art.

WHAT ARE ISSUES THAT CONCERN YOU MOST IN THE WORLD WE LIVE IN TODAY?

The lack of power on our own lives. To change, to get better, to live better. It's all ruined by some stupid capitalists that rule the world by using money as weapons and people as tools to increase hate, war and hunger. The saddest thing is that they move our heads as they want to. It's hard to wake up everyday seeing this horrible theatre. The only way to change this I believe is us being unite and fight for the ones who have it harder than us. And also fight for changing this society for making it better for the next ones.

WHAT DOES ART DO FO YOU?

It cures me. Makes me believe in another way of understanding and seeing life.

WHAT HAS LOVE MADE YOU CAPABLE OF DOING?

Take a 15 hour bus from San Francisco to San Diego at the age of 18, first time in America. I wasn't scared, I would be now.
